Hearing Voices Café
an initiative of DORA GARCÍA
at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Café Bravo
10—13 August 2016

The Hearing Voices Café could actually apply to the buzz of conversations that characterize any well-patronized coffee shop. The phrase “hearing voices” is also associated with the phenomenon of hearing inner voices. Drawing on the ambiguity of the term, the Spanish artist Dora García creates a gathering place for people who hear voices, their family and friends, people interested in the phenomenon, and coincidental guests.
